Assignment Brief
For Assignment 1 : Design Analysis & Concept Proposal, I was tasked to research, analyze, and propose a holistic phygital design solution that combines spatial experience with digital interaction. The goal is to address real-world challenges through creativity and multidisciplinary thinking by integrating physical design, UI/UX, and emerging technologies. This phase involves identifying user needs through surveys and interviews, analyzing findings, and proposing an immersive, user-center concept supported by visuals, storytelling, and research evidence. The deliverables for this assignment have also included a design analysis report, a concept presentation, and visual communication materials such as sketches, moldboards, and user journey diagrams.

For this assignment, I had to brainstorm and propose a topic, and it actually took me quite some time to figure out what I really wanted to focus on and what i wanted to combine together (spatial ? UI/UX? AR/VR?). Through the process of writing the proposal, I realized what was missing in my idea and learned how to improve my research, reading, and understanding skills.
While working on it, I did more research about coral reefs and how urban areas and human waste affect the ocean. This helped me understand how our daily habits contribute to plastic pollution and harm marine life. Conducting surveys and interviews also gave me the chance to learn more about how people think and feel about these issues.
Overall, this assignment helped me gain new knowledge and awareness about the connection between human behavior and the environment, and it made me more mindful about how I can create meaningful designs that promote change.
